Phishing Quiz

Phishing is the act of tricking someone into giving them confidential information or tricking them into doing something that they normally wouldn’t do or shouldn’t do. For example: sending an e-mail to a user falsely claiming to be an established legitimate enterprise in an attempt to scam the user into surrendering private information that will be used for identity theft.

I was going through my feeds when I ran across a blog post recommending a phishing quiz.  I took the test and am happy to say I was rated a “Security Guru”.  The test is hosted by McAfee and has some really tough questions.  I learned just how many things scammers can do to try and fool us.

The quiz can be found HERE.  It is a good exercise in recognizing a scam.

Good luck!
