2009 Orionid Meteor Shower

orionidMeteorRadiant_600

The ’09 Orionids will peak on Wednesday morning, October 21st. This is one of the two times per year that the Earth passes through the orbit of Halley’s comet. Providing you have clear skies and are not plagued by light pollution, the Orionids should not disappoint. Even if there are light issues, some shooting stars should be visible.

The Houston forecast, as of now, is showing the presence of clouds…it is not looking 100% favorable for me.  :-(
