Brazos Bend Day Trip 5-8-10
We woke up Saturday morning and decided to take a trip out to Brazos Bend State Park. I love this park because I usually walk away with some good shots. I use a Nikon D90 with a 18-105mm kit lens.
I have been playing with focus lately, so thought I would continue “focusing” on that aspect…
I was surprised this little guy sat still long enough to work with the focus a little. Just about everything but the rabbit itself is out of focus.

Awesome Eagle
We were on the way back from Brazos Bend Park this morning when we saw something very unexpected. It was a bald eagle sitting on top of a telephone pole. I was born and raised in SE Texas and I have never seen an eagle before. I did not even know they were in this part of the country. My husband has seen an eagle before, but in Alaska.

The Bald Eagle Viewing Directory is where people post sightings of eagles. Come to find out they are more common in SE Texas than I thought.
All I can say is it was an awesome site!!!
